MECHANICSBURG, Pa. and ST. LOUIS, July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Select Medical Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Select Medical Holdings Corporation (NYSE: SEM), in a joint venture partnership with SSM Health, today announced the opening of its newest rehabilitation hospital, SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Lake Saint Louis, marking the first rehabilitation hospital with a brain injury unit in St. Charles County. The hospital will also offer rehabilitation care for other acute medical conditions ranging from cancer to neurological disorders and amputations.

The new, 30-bed acute rehabilitation hospital features all private rooms and state-of-the-art equipment. The rehabilitation hospital is housed on the fifth floor of SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis.
The new hospital joins two other hospitals that are also part of the partnership, SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Richmond Heights and SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Bridgeton. In addition to the inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, the joint venture owns and operates physical therapy centers, day institutes and contract therapy services – all part of a continuum of care with programs specially designed for every step of the recovery journey.
