The Under Armour Tom Brady Draft Chat is designed to be an intimate and revealing dissection of life in the NFL – with Brady discussing his rise from Draft obscurity to world champion and MVP. Under Armour's Facebook page will provide complete entry and eligibility instructions for the contest, which begins today and continues through April 24. To gain admission to the Under Armour Tom Brady Draft Chat, fans will be asked to visit Under Armour's Facebook page and to submit photos of themselves "Getting Charged Up." Once all photo entries are received, Under Armour Founder and CEO Kevin Plank will select 12 winners, each of whom will be allowed to invite a guest to join him/her at the Draft Chat.
The Draft Chat also supports the recent launch of Under Armour's Charged Cotton™ collection. The Charged Cotton performance T-Shirt dries up to five times faster than regular cotton and infuses standard cotton fabric with performance material. Brady, who joined the Under Armour roster of athletes in November 2010, is one of the primary faces of the Charged Cotton campaign.
"This event offers fans the special opportunity to learn first-hand how Tom Brady transformed himself from the 199th player picked in the 2000 NFL Draft to one of the most prolific quarterbacks of all time," said Matt Mirchin, Senior Vice President of Sports Marketing, Under Armour. "Tom's commitment to year-round training and hard work make him the perfect fit for our new line of Charged Cotton apparel, which is constructed to perform better than regular cotton."
Four-time Pro Bowl quarterback and top NFL analyst Boomer Esiason will moderate the Draft Chat, which also will be broadcast LIVE on Under Armour's Facebook page and on Ustream.tv, via the URL www.ustream.tv/underarmour.
Brady is scheduled to appear in various in-store and advertising promotional campaigns for Under Armour in the upcoming months.
Brady bolsters a formidable offensive line-up for Under Armour, who recently reached agreements with Pro-Bowl wide receivers Miles Austin and Anquan Boldin, as well as with incoming NFL rookies Cam Newton and Julio Jones.
