Segway Names Senior Executive Francis Bridges As Vice President Of Engineering And Supply Chain

BEDFORD, N.H., April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Segway Inc. (Segway), the world's leading provider of electric personal transportation, announces it has named Francis Bridges as Vice President of Engineering and Supply Chain.

Bridges is a seasoned executive with experience in engineering, strategy development and implementation, purchasing and program management at a wide range of U.S. and international automotive, electronics, technology and manufacturing companies. In this role, Bridges will be responsible for leading the expansion of Segway's product line, managing day-to-day engineering operations, facilitating product development and improving the procurement process.

Prior to joining Segway, Bridges was a Director, in the Strategic Program Office at M*Modal. He has also held senior and strategic positions at organizations including Centrum Climate/VistaPro Automotive, Visteon and Ford Motor Company. Fran holds a Master of Science in Control Theory from Wayne State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science both from Ohio University.
