Segway Names Michael Casey Vice President Of Engineering

BEDFORD, N.H., March 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Segway Inc. (Segway), the world's leading provider of personal transportation, named Michael Casey as its Vice President of Engineering. Casey will actively manage day-to-day engineering operations, facilitate product development and lead the expansion of Segway's product portfolio.

Casey has more than 22 years of proven mechanical engineering experience. He has been with Segway for over 10 years and held leadership roles in Product Development, Sustaining Engineering and Quality Assurance.

Prior to joining Segway, Casey spent 10 years with Motorola where he played key roles in Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing and the SMT Process. He also had shorter stints working for Mitsubishi Wireless and Panasonic. Casey is a Licensed Professional Engineer and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
