Segovia at Palm Desert now Open

PALM DESERT, Calif., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Segovia, the new five-star retirement community with resort-style residences in Palm Desert, will open its doors to new residents on May 14, following a grand opening event that took place on Thursday, May 6. More than 300 guests attended the celebration – titled Bravo! at Segovia – and were greeted with Spanish- themed food, beverages and entertainment located throughout the 9-acre complex. Currently, Segovia's 121 residences are 60% sold and new residents will begin moving in May 14.

At the grand opening event, Segovia showcased an impressive array of social, recreational, and cultural amenities, as well as dining venues including the full-service Coachella Club Restaurant where a sumptuous Mediterranean feast was featured. Other highlights included a decadent dessert buffet, the Pat McCaffrey Band in the Great Hall, a poolside tapas bar and sangria stand, smoothies and frozen drinks at the 9-hole putting course, and local artist Pat Cole showcasing her work in the Art Studio. An accordion player greeted guests in the grand lobby, while the Cafe offered tasty treats and rich coffee drinks.
