Segovia Announces GSA Schedule 70 Award for Commercial Satellite Communications Services

HERNDON, Va., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Segovia, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inmarsat plc, and a leading provider of secure global IP telecommunications, announced today that it is one of the first companies awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70 contract to provide Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) products and services to the U.S. Government.

The Segovia award is one of the first for the joint GSA/Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition (FCSA) initiative. First announced in August 2009, FCSA leverages the GSA Schedule 70 program to provide federal, state and local governments with direct access to the highest quality commercial telecommunications hardware, software and services.
