See Yourself In The Best Light Possible With simplehuman's New Innovative Mini Sensor Mirror
Mimicking Natural Light, New simplehuman Mini Sensor Mirror Provides Unparalleled Color Correctness, Brightness and Clarity with the Launch of a Revolutionary Makeup Mirror
TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sometimes, smaller is better. At least that's the case with the new simplehuman mini sensor mirror. The mini mirror is a smaller version of the full-size sensor-activated lighted vanity mirror the company released last year and embodies the brand's mission of efficient living. The mini mirror lights up automatically as you approach. Its 10x magnification provides optimum detail — ideal for tweezing and applying eye makeup — and its smaller size makes it perfect to take on the go.

Aside from providing exceptional detail for close-up work, the mirror has a tru-lux light system that closely simulates natural sunlight, allowing you to see full color variation. At 550 lux, the mirror provides unparalleled color correctness, brightness and clarity. The light from long-lasting LEDs is evenly dispersed with a unique pattern of micro-reflectors in the outer ring for completely even light without any hot spots. The use of LEDs also means it's more power-efficient, resulting in longer battery life. The mirror is cordless and can be recharged with a standard USB cable. A single full charge can power the device for up to two months—talk about efficiency.
The mirror can be adjusted to two heights (mid extension and maximum extension), and its head tilts up and around for the desired angle and view. Its weighted base allows the mirror to be stable while in use and has a flexible arm which folds down, making the mirror more compact for storage. The mirror comes with a padded case, making it convenient for travel.
"We challenged ourselves to make our original sensor mirror into a smaller, travel-friendly version, and increase the magnification for more detailed use. In order to achieve these features without taking away from our original design aesthetic, we had to drastically rethink our design to maintain flawless function," explained Randy Wei, Director of Industrial Design.
By decreasing the size of the mirror, the LEDs became more power-efficient, resulting in a longer battery life. Design changes were made so that the mirror is compact and adjustable, while still providing users with exceptional detail and color-correct view.
simplehuman's mini sensor mirror is available online at www.simplehuman.com and will be in-store beginning April 2014 with a suggested retail price of $130.
