DALLAS, Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Securus Technologies, a leading provider of civil and criminal justice technology solutions for public safety, investigation, corrections and monitoring, announced today that it has had three (3) recent positive rulings from the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and the Court related to patent infringement cases and Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs) between Securus and Global Tel*Link (GTL).
The decisions are summarized below:
"We were pleased that the PTAB and the Court ruled in favor of Securus on these points," said Richard "Rick" A. Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Securus Technologies.
"Ultimately, we enjoy significant advantages over GTL in Issued Patents, Pending Patents, In-Force Patents, and our Patent Win-Loss Record – and we have license agreements with the most significant carriers in our sector," said Smith. "This advantage is material and will last for the foreseeable future given our acquisitions and advanced development efforts. The "Patent Related Metrics" that I referred to are provided below."
