NEW YORK, Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SecurityScorecard™ (www.securityscorecard.com), a provider of cloud-based security risk grading services, today announced the appointment of Alexander Heid as Chief Research Officer (CRO) and Rob Blackin as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This expansion of the company's leadership team will help enhance and advance the performance and versatility of its technology. Both positions report to Aleksandr Yampolskiy, SecurityScorecard's CEO.
"I am thrilled to have such capable security technology executives join us," said Yampolskiy. "Alex Heid is one of the top security experts in the world. He brings to SecurityScorecard an impressive track record of identifying and dealing with the menaces of the web. Rob is a solid technologist who drives development efforts and whose work results in exceptional products delivered with exceptional efficiency."
As CRO, a newly created position, Heid will direct security research to uncover emerging tools and techniques employed by malicious characters who seek to attack the cloud-based operations of today's interconnected businesses. "I joined SecurityScorecard because its technology is strong and has been designed to help organizations better understand their security health and those of their partners," Heid said. "The findings of our ongoing research will be applied to make SecurityScorecard's offerings more attuned to the ever-changing security risks and risk levels faced by our customers."
Blackin will be responsible for managing development of products and services from SecurityScorecard.
