SecurityScorecard Appoints Scott Schneider Vice President of Global Sales
Security Industry Veteran Sees Threatscape Benchmarking Service Filling a Key Market Need
NEW YORK, April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SecurityScorecard™ (www.securityscorecard.com), the leading solution for third party security risk management, today announced the appointment of Scott Schneider as Vice President of Global Sales. In his role Schneider will be responsible for overall business development and go-to-market strategy. He will report to SecurityScorecard's CEO, Dr. Aleksandr Yampolskiy.
"Scott joins us with more than 15 years' experience in the information security and threat intelligence market," Yampolskiy said. "Along the way he's demonstrated an exceptional ability to generate sales and build strong relationships with customers. I have no doubt Scott will do that and more at SecurityScorecard, especially as he has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by CISOs in today's roiling security environment."
Previous to SecurityScorecard Schneider headed sales at Norse, Lookingglass, iSIGHT Partners and iDefense, now a unit of VeriSign. He began his career at McAfee, now an Intel company, where he consistently was a top sales performer.
"Third party breaches are on the rise. Static security questionnaires and expensive on site assessments are not enough," Schneider said. "When I saw all that the SecurityScorecard Threatscape benchmarking service can do to reduce the collective risk of a cloud-based information ecosystem there was no question it fills a key need for the security market. I am excited to be part of the SecurityScorecard team and look forward to advancing its sales efforts worldwide."
Schneider holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas State University. He, his wife and two children live in Dallas.
