Securian's Fetter Promoted to Director, Individual Life Underwriting

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Fetter, a 22-year veteran of individual life insurance underwriting at Securian Financial Group, Inc., now directs that unit.

Fetter, who lives in Blaine, MN, also retains his responsibilities as a chief underwriter, a position he has held since 2007. He works with the company's medical department and actuaries to set medical underwriting guidelines and provides underwriting support to firms and advisors who market Securian and Minnesota Life Insurance Company products to individuals.

Fetter joined Securian in 1988 as an underwriting assistant. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
