SecureCircle Introduces Enhanced Cybersecurity Offering for Cloud-First Enterprises
New features add extra layer of data protection, prevent users from copying secure data to non-file-based apps
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SecureCircle, the world's first opt-out data protection, today introduced an updated product offering with new features to meet the data security needs of cloud-first enterprises in a zero trust world. New features add an enhanced level of data protection and come as the startup scales offerings to meet growing demand from Fortune 500 and global organizations.
SecureCircle's growing customer base helped inform the product roadmap. New features include server and endpoint components. The server solution includes updates to its SaaS and on-premise technology while the endpoint components include updates for Mac, iOS, Windows, Linux and Android operating systems. Each update offers enhanced protection for all unstructured data, which represents 80 percent of a company's data.
"Enterprises are vulnerable in today's cloud-based, collaborative computing environment," said Jeff Capone, SecureCircle co-founder and CEO. "Security practices that depend on users to opt in or take steps to keep organizations safe have proven ineffective. However, by automating advanced cybersecurity in an opt-out manner and making it seamless to end users, enterprises are able to automatically protect critical data. Our enhanced solution does just that, adding a new layer of security that protects users from copying secure data to non-file-based apps, among other features, helping organizations stay one step ahead of bad actors."
Highlights include:
- Network/Location Isolation – Allows firewall-like rules to be applied to applications in the Allowed List. Applies inbound and outbound rules for applications/processes, IP address, protocol and ports, enabling granular access control in addition to authentication by users, devices and applications.
- Copy Clipboard Protection – Enables admins to enforce the ability to copy data to the operating system clipboard. Prevents users from copying data into non-file-based applications such as messaging apps, adding an extra layer of data protection.
- New Policy Management – Administrators create and manage policies for key management, directory services, network and client configurations, serving as a central policy hub.
- Updated User Interface (UI) – Allows for key server, directory service, and SIEM integrations to be configured directly within the UI. Allows for simple search & filter functions on any page and multi-language support is now available for English, Spanish, German, Portuguese and simplified Chinese.
New features are effective immediately and enhance SecureCircle's position as the leader in unstructured data protection. Differing from other solutions on the market, the SecureCircle solution is completely transparent, always encrypted, always tracked and always retractable. It also stands apart by protecting everything by default, allowing administrators to select which items to remove, instead of deciding which files or content to protect.
