Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis Talks About Jobs on Azteca America's 'Issues: Caras y Voces'
WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America television network is proud to feature Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis on this week's broadcast of "Issues: Caras y Voces," hosted by veteran Latino journalist Armando Guzman.
Secretary Solis was confirmed to her post in February of 2009. Prior to her position as Secretary of Labor, she represented California's 32nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2001. Her priorities in Congress included expanding access to health care, protecting the environment, and improving the lives of working families.
As the first Hispanic woman to serve as a regular cabinet member, Secretary Solis has increased the enforcement of wage and workplace protection laws, and has promoted a $150 million program to train unemployed workers in new fields.
