The AlwaysOn GoingGreen series is well known for drawing a wide variety of high-profile attendees, including C-level executives, entrepreneurs, researchers, venture capitalists and private-equity investors. This elite group will join to discuss the latest trends in the Cleantech Industry and discuss promising investments.
"GoingGreen East highlights the phenomenal advancements in renewables and clean technology which are taking place nationwide, and spotlights the amazing innovation on the eastern seaboard. The event provides a great opportunity to meet the individuals that are driving this change," said Kevin Genieser, managing director, Morgan Stanley.
Participants in this year's event will engage in over a dozen in-depth panel discussions concerning the most vital issues in the world of Cleantech, like how far nuclear power has come and if it can be integrated into the grid without obviating other clean technologies, and whether or not we are in the middle of a "Cleantech Bubble" that may eventually collapse. Additionally, a closing panel will focus on how companies can be competitive in an industry that has relied heavily on government subsidies and favorable legislation as these opportunities diminish. These special sessions will offer diverse insight and solutions to some of the most pressing concerns that the industry has to offer.
GoingGreen East also features a ceremony honoring the GoingGreen East 50—a list of the top 50 Private Cleantech Companies, as well as several "CEO Showcases" during which high level executives will present to the attendees a brief overview of their technology and company strategy.
"New England has helped prove that the east coast can be just as important as the west when it comes to the world of Cleantech," said Tony Perkins, founder and editor of AlwaysOn. "Now companies coming from this emerging hot spot of the Cleantech Industry have a proper forum to debate, demonstrate and further grow the important work they have been doing."
