SEATTLE CKO Kickboxing Fitness Franchise Celebrates First Anniversary
SEATTLE, July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- People in Seattle have lost weight, gained muscle and have more stamina in the one year since CKO Kickboxing Seattle opened its doors in Shoreline, WA.
Garett and Jessica Renon have worked fast and hard to get to where they are today. As owners of CKO Kickboxing - Seattle, located at 15901 Westminster Way in Shoreline, they have created a space where sweat, high energy and fun are a daily occurrence. It's only fitting that when their one-year Anniversary came, they "go big or go home" as they offer special fitness classes and promotions.
Saturday, July 13, 2013 will mark CKO Seattle's anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, the community can participate in a special 1½-hour class with multiple trainers teaching and a DJ to pump up the music. There will be giveaways and exciting specials.
The past year has been a dream come true for the franchisees of the high quality, cross training gym that provides a family friendly setting to Seattle residents and northern suburban Seattle residents who are looking for an alternative to Pilates, yoga, martial arts, cross-fit and spinning classes.
"It all started in New Mexico in 2009 when two people met, fell in love and a dream was born. She was in the Navy. He was working for the Department of Defense. Just three years later, they had moved to Seattle, she was at a new station and he was living his dream as the franchisee for CKO Kickboxing.
CKO Kickboxing was originally formed in Hoboken, NJ in November, 1997 by Joseph Andreula. He designed and created the intense workout, which was the first of its kind. CKO became so popular, that by 2004, nine additional locations opened throughout New Jersey and New York. Today, CKO has 40 locations from Seattle to San Diego to South Carolina to the tri-state New York metro area. CKO has been recognized in countless national fitness magazines and television programs such as NBC's "The Today Show."
During the past year CKO Seattle has put on two 10-Week Challenges, had most, if not all members achieve body transformations, raised money for different organizations and maintained member loyalty.
"When people come to the gym their first impression is 'wow you have a lot of bags' quickly followed by 'I don't know if I can do this.' The funny thing is those are the people who become members," said Garrett. "And you're not just a member, by the way, most say at some point, 'You guys are like family.' That is the biggest compliment a gym could get."
When asked what Garett's most memorable part of the past year has been, he was quick to answer, "I have had many people tell me that they are now more conscience of what they put into their mouths, that they have shaved minutes off their running personal best, that they are the strongest they have ever been, that they feel much more confident, or have had to buy an entire new wardrobe. The list of personal achievements goes on and on!"
"So, if you are ready to make that commitment to yourself, come by and join CKO Seattle Kickboxing," said Garett. "You got to get hot, to be hot!"
