Season of Giving: Marin Brokerage Puts Community First

MILL VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Home is where the heart is, and real estate professionals at Decker Bullock Sotheby's International Realty know this well. In the spirit of the holiday season, Marin's top brokerage chose to focus on its community, aiding local families and persons in need. Each of the brokerage's nine offices had agent-organized donations to help the distinctive communities they serve professionally within Marin.

Charitable donations included a range of recipients, from families in need, to children with cancer, to aid for the impoverished. The brokerage's Ross Valley and Greenbrae offices joined Marin's Adopt-A-Family program, aiding families in need and purchasing essential items and gifts from each family's "wish list". In Belvedere and Tiburon, agents raised funds for Dec My Room UCSF, an organization that decorates the rooms of children in long-term hospital stay battling different types of cancer. In Novato, a warm coat drive was organized in partnership with One Warm Coat, donating 134 used garments to the Ritter Center in San Rafael, as well as 10 new children's coats to the Sparkle Foundation. The Mill Valley offices raised donations to the Marin City Recreation Program, Performing Stars of Marin and direct contributions were also collected to aid a quadriplegic woman, and the San Rafael office raised money and contributed gifts to help a single mother with two jobs and six children. The brokerage's executive office made donations to SHARE (Special Human-Animal Relationships) at the Marin Humane Society for the Pet Care Assistance program which provides assistance to low-income seniors and their pets.
