Sears®, Kmart® Move Black Friday Earlier for Shop Your Way(SM) Members

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Nov. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- With Black Friday falling later than previous years, Sears Holdings announced it has "moved" the shopping holiday – one full week early for Sears and five days early for Kmart – in a pre-sale exclusively for Shop Your Way members. Members can shop more than 1,000 Black Friday doorbusters at Sears.com starting Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. CST; and 100 doorbusters at Kmart.com starting on Sun., Nov. 24 at midnight CST. Members can also access the early sales via ShopYourWay.com.

"Shop Your Way members always get more and giving early access to Black Friday doorbusters is the ultimate holiday shopping perk," said Imran Jooma, executive vice president and president, Marketing, Online and Financial Services, Sears Holdings. "Sears and Kmart also offer integrated retail conveniences like free store pick-up, Anywhere, Anyone Pick-up(SM), and online layaway options to help you manage your holiday budget."

Sears' pre-sale ends Nov. 23 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Kmart's pre-sale ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on Nov. 24. Pre-sale doorbuster purchases are available for layaway, ship-to-home, Free Anyone, Anywhere Pickup(SM) and Free Store Pickup.

To make shopping more efficient and social, Shop Your Way members can search for and buy products, unlock deals, and gain account access through the Shop Your Way mobile app. Special pre-sale doorbusters will range across all product categories, from tech gear to tool sheds, including*:

• Sears Super Buy – 50 percent off Kenmore 25 cu. ft. French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Stainless Steel ENERGY STAR® ; sale priced at $1299.99, reg. priced at $2599.99.

As an added financial convenience, members can put their Sears and Kmart pre-sale doorbusters on online layaway and choose to ship their purchases home or pick up their purchases from their selected Kmart or Sears store. Sears and Kmart remain the only retailers to offer layaway nationally, both online and in-store with a full range of merchandise. Shop Your Way members earn points toward future purchase when they shop using layaway.

Earlier this season Sears announced its Holiday Bonus offer for Shop Your Way members – 10 percent back in points on qualifying purchases made with a Sears credit card or three percent back in points when using any other form of payment. The offer runs through Dec. 26 on the first $1,000 of each qualifying purchase at participating Sears locations and Sears.com. Points expire Jan. 31, 2014, and valid email opt-in is required.

Shop Your Way members can get an early look at Thanksgiving and Black Friday deals at searslocalad.com or kmartlocalad.com. Accessible via computer, tablet or mobile device, LocalAd shows deals from the Sears and Kmart circulars and reveals hundreds more in-store discounts on overstock inventory unique to specific local stores, which can't be viewed anywhere else.
