Searchlight Capital Partners Retains Doug Hutcheson as Senior Advisor

NEW YORK, May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Searchlight Capital Partners announced today that Doug Hutcheson will be working with the Firm as a Senior Advisor. In this role, Mr. Hutcheson will be involved at a senior level in the Firm's TMT activities, where he has considerable experience from his time at Leap Wireless, Qualcomm and other roles.

Prior to working with Searchlight as a Senior Advisor, Mr. Hutcheson served as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Leap Wireless International and its operating subsidiary Cricket Communications. Over his 16 years at Leap Wireless, Mr. Hutcheson was responsible for developing and implementing strategy, all operations, and the oversight of all relationships and partnerships for the company until its sale to AT&T in 2014. Prior to Leap, Mr. Hutcheson worked at Qualcomm Incorporated, and also held other positions in multiple areas including field engineering, manufacturing, sales and customer support. Additionally, Mr. Hutcheson also currently serves as CEO and a Director of Laser, Inc., a corporation created in connection with the acquisition of Leap Wireless International by AT&T.
