SAN DIEGO, Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University (SDSU) announced that Human Resources MBA has named SDSU's College of Business Administration's human resources (HR) academic program as one of the best in the United States.
The publication named SDSU's program as the 13th best overall and the 10th best among public universities. Human Resources MBA stated that the programs chosen as the top 25 in the nation were those that aligned with the curriculum guidelines set by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), had active SHRM student chapters, and were accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
SDSU's HR program earned additional accolades this spring when SDSU's SHRM student chapter was honored as with an Outstanding Student Chapter award for 2014. The program also received multiple honors within SDSU including the 2014 Aztec Achievement Award for Outstanding Student Organization, Outstanding Advisor and Outstanding Female Leader.
"We are honored that Human Resources MBA has recognized the exceptional HR academic program we've built at SDSU," said Dr. Dennis Cradit, dean of SDSU's College of Business Administration. "We are especially proud of Dr. Michelle Dean for her dedication and tireless efforts as the founder of the program and the faculty advisor of our award-winning student SHRM chapter. It was Dr. Dean who recognized the need for specially-educated HR professionals that led to the founding of SDSU's nationally lauded program. We are deeply appreciative of her outstanding leadership, her dedication to our students, and for helping to fill a critical need in the business community."
