Scratchpay and Green Dot Bank announce partnership to help pet parents save for veterinary care

LOS ANGELES, May 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Scratchpay and Green Dot Bank announced on Wednesday a partnership to create a new kind of bank account to help pet parents save for expensive visits to the veterinarian.  

Scratchpay, a technology company focused on providing simple payment plans for veterinary care, will soon add this innovative pet focused account to its existing set of award winning products.

Scratchpay Savings is expected to include:

• Customized debit card that allows convenient access to funds
• Pet-friendly rewards and incentives
• No minimum balance
• No monthly fee

Additional benefits of the savings account may include earning cash back at Scratchpay partner clinic locations, and special rewards for account holders who also have a Scratchpay payment plan.

The announcement came during Green Dot's Q1 earnings call.  "[Scratchpay] is kicking butt," exclaimed Green Dot CEO Steven Streit, remarking on the company's rapid growth since launching in 2016, "[they] own the veterinary space, paws down."
