Scott Miller, Head of the Six Sigma Academy and the G100, Named Special Advisor to General Atlantic
GREENWICH, Conn., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- General Atlantic LLC (GA), a leading global growth equity firm, today announced that Scott Miller, the CEO of SSA and Company, the owner of the Six Sigma Academy and the G100, has become a Special Advisor to the firm. In this role, Mr. Miller will support GA's active value-added approach to partnering with growth companies by providing strategic counsel to GA and its portfolio companies. In addition, Mr. Miller will provide strategic advice to GA's capital raising efforts.
Mr. Miller previously served as President of Hyatt Hotels Corporation and prior to that as President and CEO of United Infrastructure Company. He is currently a director of AXA Financial, Inc. and a former director of Navteq, Orbitz, Inc. and Schindler Holdings.
Founded in 1980, GA has a long history of identifying, investing in and supporting growth companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia. With a target investment size of $50 million to $500 million, GA manages approximately $15 billion and invests between $1 billion and $2 billion per year in growth opportunities globally. Mr. Miller is involved in several civic activities including the boards of the Aspen Community Foundation, Kravis Leadership Board and Jazz Aspen/Snowmass. Mr. Miller earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree from Stanford University.
