Scott D. Cunningham is recognized by Continental Who's Who

HOUSTON, July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott D. Cunningham is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a 2017 Attorney of the Year in recognition of his contributions to the Legal field.             

Cunningham serves as the Owner and Attorney at Law in his own practice, the Cunningham Law Firm, which specializes in legal services for its clients. He brings over 40 years of career experience as well as expertise in the areas of business litigation, oil and gas, contract disputes, medical construction and estate law, to his role.

Prior to establishing the Cunningham Law Firm, Cunningham served as a Participating Associate at Krist and Associates; as a Senior Associate at Wood, Lucksinger and Epstein; a Litigation Section Head and Shareholder at Brown and Fowler, P.C.; a Partner and Shareholder at Brill and Johnson, P.L.L.C.; General Counsel at TransTexas Gas Corporation; and Partner at Cunningham and Riebschlager.

Cunningham earned his A.B. degree in History from Princeton University in 1974, graduating Cum Laude.

He then completed his Juris Doctor with a focus on Common Law Curriculum from Tulane University, and is a Certified Mediator.

To further his professional development, Cunningham is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas; Texas Trial Lawyers Association; Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the State Bar of Texas; the District of Columbia Bar Association; the Houston Bar Association; the Houston Trial Lawyers Association; the Princeton Alumni Association; and is a Founding Member of the Texas Ethics Association.

In addition to his work through his law practice, Cunningham was a Democratic Nominee for U.S. Congress in the 22nd Congressional District in 1994 and 1996. When not working, he volunteers his time to St. Martin's Episcopal Church and the Houston Highland Games Association. He also enjoys traveling, visiting National Parks and spending time with his wife, Angelique, and his daughter.
