Scott Brewer Joins Huntington Bank as Corporate Development Director
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Huntington Bank has named Scott Brewer, formerly of Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. in Cleveland, new corporate development director. In this newly created role, Brewer will lead merger and acquisition strategies and activities. He will report to Huntington's Chief Financial Officer Don Kimble.

"He has more than 20 years of in-depth experience in financial services acquisitions with companies of various sizes. The breadth of his experiences, coupled with his knowledge of the industry, will make him tremendously valuable in his new role at Huntington."
Brewer is responsible for implementing merger and acquisition strategy for Huntington, including the identification, modeling and completion of acquisition plans. He will also lead the effort to identify value in the marketplace and maximize that value through strategic sourcing of deals, expeditious due diligence and effective execution of transactions. Joining Brewer will be Bryce Myers, who also comes from Stifel, where he focused primarily on advisory assignments in the financial institutions group.

Before joining Huntington, Brewer was managing director in the financial institutions group at Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc., where he led the firm's insurance investment banking effort. Prior to Stifel, Brewer was group head and managing director for the financial institutions group with KeyBanc Capital Markets. Brewer came to Key from Morgan Stanley & Co. where he was primarily focused on executing merger and acquisition advisory and capital raising mandates for banking sector clients.
A graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's in financing and accounting, Scott received a master's in management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
