SCORE Works With Visa Inc. To Support Small Business
WASHINGTON, Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SCORE – www.SCORE.org – mentors to America's small business, has expanded its relationship with Visa. Working together will benefit small businesses nationwide with SCORE's network of 13,000 volunteer mentors who assist many of the same small business owners that Visa works with every day. Helping entrepreneurs and small business owners reach their goals has been SCORE's mission since 1964.
"Working with Visa is a huge benefit to SCORE clients and small business owners at large," said SCORE CEO Ken Yancey. "Together we will continue to educate and inform American small business owners with help from our network of volunteer mentors."
"Like SCORE, Visa is committed to helping small business grow and succeed," said Janet Zablock, head of global small business at Visa Inc. "By working together, we're able to help educate small business owners on financial issues that matter most to them from cash flow to payment acceptance to money saving offers."
The two organizations share a common goal of helping small business owners succeed. Visa has long recognized that small businesses are the backbone of the economy. Over the last two decades, Visa has provided cost-effective, payment options designed for virtually every business payment need. In 1993, Visa was the first payment company to offer a full suite of payment options to meet the T&E and invoice-based payment needs of businesses of all sizes.
Visa and SCORE will work together on a series of educational webinars that will cover a wide variety of challenges facing small business owners.
The webinar series will be available for download at www.SCORE.org. Guest bloggers from Visa, a SCORE national corporate patron, will also contribute to the SCORE Small Business Success blog (www.blog.SCORE.org) in the coming months to additionally assist in the small business community.
