SCORE Volunteer to be Honored as White House 'Champion of Change'

Portland, Maine SCORE Chapter Chair Nancy Strojny has been selected as a White House 'Champion of Change' as part of President Obama's "Winning the Future" initiative. Strojny will be honored for her work as a leader mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs in a special ceremony in the Eisenhower Executive Office at the White House on March 7th 2012. Nancy's extensive business experience has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs achieve their dreams and improve their businesses. Under her leadership, the Portland, Maine chapter of SCORE greatly increased the number of small businesses helped through free mentoring sessions. Along with honoring Ms. Strojny for her efforts to help small businesses succeed, agency representatives and White House Offices will participate in a discussion with a group of 'Champion of Change' honorees to hear about the work they are doing. Honorees will also be featured on the White House website at www.whitehouse.gov/champions.
