SCORE Elects Former Chapter President and District Director Gerard Glenn as Board Chair
WASHINGTON, Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SCORE, – www.score.org - mentors to America's small businesses, is proud to announce the election of Gerard (Jerry) Glenn of Lancaster, PA, as its new Board Chair. Hal Shelton, SCORE mentor in Washington DC and former Board Treasurer, has also been elected as Vice Chair. Both Glenn and Shelton are current board members. Glenn's decades of business experience, including his position as president and CEO of Armstrong DLW, AG, and principal of G Squared Consulting, have made him an extremely valuable asset to SCORE as a volunteer mentor, Chapter President, District Director, Board Vice Chair, and now; Chairman of the Board. This announcement comes shortly after the resignation of Dedra Johanneson who stepped down in light of family health issues requiring her undivided attention. During his term as Chapter President, Glenn's team initiated several new programs, processes and services including, free business roundtables for existing small businesses, a micro-loan program with the City of Lancaster for entrepreneurs in the city, expansion of business education programs to 55 annual workshops with 1,000 participants, email marketing of SCORE services, and much more.
