Experts from SCORE will share start-up success secrets, including focusing the business idea and where to look for small business financing. SCORE mentors Julie Brander of New Haven, Conn., and Steve Bloom of Atlanta, Ga., will host the call.

Julie Brander has been a SCORE volunteer since 1997. She has 20 years of experience in business, having started a manufacturing, wholesale and retail jewelry company. As a business mentor with New Haven SCORE, she facilitates and organizes the small business workshops, seminars and conferences. She has her MBA and teaches business basics to entrepreneurs at the undergraduate level. In addition to being a blogger for the SCORE Women's Success Blog, Brander was also a guest expert for the SCORE Small Business Success Podcast Series.

Entrepreneur Steve Bloom started several business ventures in mortgage banking, real estate development and management, importing, sign manufacturing and business consulting.
