SciSports is the Winning Startup in HYPE Foundation's Global Sports Innovation Competition Alongside UEFA FINAL
The winner was chosen by the jury that included UEFA, Amazon and Adidas leaders
CARDIFF, Wales, June 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- HYPE Foundation, a global platform connecting and investing in sports innovation, is announcing that SciSports has won the "Sports Innovation (SPIN) Final" competition alongside the UEFA Champions League Final. The competition crowns the most innovative startup in the football and sports spaces. The startup was chosen by a jury of leading figures from UEFA, sports and tech world, headed by Mr. Bernd Wahler, Ex-Adidas CMO, VfB STUTTGART President. The competition took place at the Postgraduate Teaching Centre of Cardiff University Business School, the hosting and participating partner. Additional partners and prize givers are Global Sports Innovation Center powered by Microsoft and Amazon Launchpad. This competition is the second out of series of global Sports Innovation Competitions HYPE Foundation is conducting in 2017, alongside major sports events, among them the NFL Draft and 2017 Summer Universiade.
The winner, SciSports, makes scientific progress accessible and available for any professional football organization. SciSports advises and builds solutions to provide professional football organizations with the competitive edge they need to maintain or improve their ranking and status. SciSports won the Philips Innovation Award and was selected by the prestigious Kairos Society as one of the fifty most innovative startups in the world.
The top ten innovative sports startups were chosen from hundreds of applicants to pitch their companies in the competition, also broadcasted LIVE on social media.
