Enter: The Machine. The augmented reality ("AR") game puts players in a dystopian world where the city is the machine. Driven to slow us down with daily obstacles, the key to breaking the mold is the 2011 tC. See the commercial spot here.
Game Overview: Deep into the belly of Machine City, users make their escape by making split second reactions as obstacles are thrown their way. Fast. Smooth. Control the tC through the machine's one track using an AR print marker (optional keyboard system available). Race against the clock - the car automatically accelerates towards max speed and slows down if the player hits an obstacle. Escape and take on the machine. AR game instructional video here.
Game Features:
- Scoring: The user's score is calculated based upon time. If the user has connected using Facebook Connect, they can save their scores to Facebook.
- Leaderboard: Using Facebook Connect, the user can compare their score to their friends scores. The all-time high scores will be displayed on the site.
- Achievements: If the user reaches a certain time, you can unlock different customized tCs.
The first re-design since it hit the market in 2004, the next-generation 2011 tC builds on its strong history of personal expression to be a leader in both performance and sophistication. It's fearless and driven – by offering more horsepower, more torque and a quicker 0-60 all while providing more MPG. It's sexy and refined – by setting the standard for premium among the compact class with top-of-the-line features such as a panoramic moonroof, 300-watt audio system with premium 8-speaker configuration, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Its aggression is deliberate and demands a reaction.
Part of a larger cross-media teaser campaign, Take On the Machine picked up after the Unlock the tC Road Trip and made its wide release September 10th. With print, billboards and a 3D trailer before "Resident Evil: Afterlife," all invite viewers to enter the machine at the go-to online destination – www.TakeOnTheMachine.com. Find full 2011 tC specs, pricing, video and images. New features will be unlocked throughout the campaign, such as alternate game endings, bonus scenes and a spot to 'Build Your tC.'
