BILTHOVEN, the Netherlands, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Dutch market research panel 'hettestpanel.nl' tested Gladskin Skin Irritation on a large group of men and women suffering from skin irritation after shaving. Gladskin's scientific approach yields exceptionally high scores, with an 80% score on efficacy and 91% on user satisfaction.
Gladskin Skin Irritation targets only the bacteria that cause or worsen the majority of all skin infections: Staphylococcus aureus. Shaving irritation is almost always caused by this bacterial species. Exposure to Staphylococcus aureus is practically unavoidable. What distinguishes Gladskin is that it kills only Staphylococcus aureus yet leaves the good bacteria - essential for a healthy skin - intact. This is a world first. These results were also published at the recent European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in Barcelona.
Less irritation after shaving
Shaving armpits, bikini line, legs and facial hair often causes minuscule wounds. These offer an ideal setting for Staphylococcus aureus bacteria to cause infections. This 'shaving irritation' is characterized by redness, pimples, shaving bumps and an itching and burning sensation. Many people suffer from this problem. Now, for the first time, the actual cause of this problem can be targeted. This marks a scientific breakthrough. Antibiotics and other traditional anti-bacterial products do not distinguish between good and bad bacteria. Recent publications support that a healthy bacterial population is far more important for a healthy skin than previously assumed.
