Schroders Enhances its Mutual Funds Line-up with Lower Expenses and a new R6 Share Class for Institutional Clients
- Schroders announces the creation of a new R6 share class across ten of its mutual funds, offering eligible institutional clients a "clean" fee share class with no embedded shareholder servicing fees.
- The new share class is designed to be attractive to institutional clients as well as Defined Contribution plans that meet the eligibility requirements.
- Additionally, Schroders is reducing fees across six mutual funds through management fee waivers, lower expense caps, or both, to further grow the company's presence in the U.S.
NEW YORK, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Schroder Investment Management North America Inc. announces the introduction of a new R6 share class across ten of its mutual funds. The R6 share class is a "clean" fee share class with no embedded shareholder servicing fees, providing more competitively priced products to Schroders' eligible institutional clients. The new share class delivers on Schroders' commitment to provide investment solutions aligned with clients' goals and to ensure they are priced appropriately for the firm's clients in the institutional and retirement markets. The new R6 share class is now available to investors.

The R6 shares are available for purchase by eligible institutional investors, including employer sponsored retirement plans, pension plans, endowments and foundations, as well as eligible high net worth investors, who meet the minimum initial investment requirements of $5 million and are able to invest either directly with Schroders or through a platform that does not charge a fee to the fund or Schroders. Existing shareholders who are eligible may convert their shares to the new R6 shares on a tax-free basis.
In addition, Schroders is introducing a reduction in fees on six of the ten mutual funds through management fee waivers, lower expense caps, or both.

- Schroder Emerging Market Equity Fund
- Schroder Emerging Markets Multi-Cap Equity Fund *

- Schroder Global Multi-Cap Equity Fund *1
- Schroder Global Strategic Bond Fund
- Schroder International Alpha Fund *
- Schroder International Multi Cap Value Fund *
- Schroder U.S. Small and Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund *
