Schrader takes Auction Marketing Campaign of Year in international marketing competition
COLUMBIA CITY, Ind., May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company took the Auction Marketing Campaign of the Year award for its four-day series of farmland auctions resulting in combined sales of $46.3 million.
It was the company's fifth time to win the top award in the NAA/USA Today Marketing Competition. The winners will be recognized July 16 during the National Auctioneers Association Conference and Show in Addison, Texas.
Schrader also took six other first-place awards, including three categories for Brochures & Catalogs, two categories for Photography and one for Postcard.
"It's a real honor to be selected for each of these awards, and especially for the Auction Marketing Campaign of the Year. The recognition is nice, but the real importance is that it recognizes the quality of our work in marketing upcoming auctions and getting results for our sellers. We take pride in every aspect of our promotion," said company President R.D. Schrader.
He said the top award was especially noteworthy because of the size and complexity of the task.
"This wasn't a single auction in one location. We had farms in Illinois, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Colorado – a total of 13,450 acres. To sell them, we conducted auctions in Illinois, Mississippi, Texas and Colorado – all the same week. For each event, we had capacity crowds and competitive bidding. It was a huge undertaking, but we were successful, and most importantly we had a very satisfied, appreciative seller," he said.
