Sid Meier's Civilization is about the rise of humankind, as players lead their civilization from the dawn of man into the space age. "We are excited to be part of 2K Games' social responsibility efforts," said Lauren A. Segal, President & CEO of Scholarship America. "When users are installing the game, they are prompted to vote for the charity of their choice from the four pre-selected charities. We hope that Scholarship America's mission – providing access to education beyond high school for students across the nation – will resonate with Civilization V's audience."
The opportunity to vote for a charity runs through Dec. 31, 2010. 2K Games will then tally up the total percentages and disperse the funds to the four charities as their customers have directed.
