Schneider Electric's Chris Leong named among the 2017 world's most influential CMOs by Forbes
RUEIL-MALMAISON, France, June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Chris Leong, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President at Schneider Electric, has been named among the 2017 world's most influential CMOs by Forbes Magazine, in a report published in partnership with Sprinklr and LinkedIn.
Chris Leong joined Schneider Electric in 2012 and became Executive Vice President, Global Marketing in March 2015. In this role, she oversees the Group's marketing teams, establishing the company's brand mission of ensuring Life Is On everywhere, for everyone and at every moment and driving its customer experience with digitization. Before joining Schneider Electric, Chris Leong held several executive positions in the sales and marketing functions, notably at Nokia.
Commenting on her vision of marketing, Chris Leong said: "I always say the three most important aspects are content, content and content. You can have the world's flashiest website, but if the content isn't interesting, nothing else matters." She added: "I see this as a great recognition and sense of pride for the entire Schneider marketing team that worked tirelessly in delivering strong marketing initiatives delivering on our brand and business growth ambition."
Forbes produces its ranking of the world's 50 most influential CMOs based on information on 439 chief marketing officers, considering indicators in four main areas: impact on brand performance, personal impact on brand awareness, industry and internal influence, and peer-based influence. The report presents a distinguished selection of the upper echelon of the world's most influential CMOs, along with an instructive look at what brought them there. In the report, Forbes and Sprinklr also survey the shifting fault lines of today's marketing terrain and provide an incisive understanding of what it takes to be the Chief Marketing Officer of tomorrow.
