Natural Resource Partners LP Analyst Notes
On June 2, 2014, Natural Resource Partners LP (NRP) announced the retirement of President and Chief Operating Officer Nick Carter on September 1, 2014. The Company informed that NRP's Executive Vice President, Wyatt L. Hogan, will succeed Mr. Carter as President, and will report to Chairman and CEO Corbin J. Robertson, Jr. According to the Company, Mr. Hogan will oversee the Company's continued growth and diversification. NRP added that Executive Vice President for Operations, Kevin F. Wall, will succeed Mr. Carter as Chief Operating Officer and will also report to Mr. Hogan. The Company stated that NRP's Vice President-Business Development for NRP's coal business, Kevin J. Craig, will assume other responsibilities regarding coal industry relations and will also report to Mr. Hogan. According to NRP, after his retirement Mr. Carter will work as a consultant to the Company through the end of 2014 to ensure a smooth transition. Rex Energy Corporation Analyst Notes
On June 2, 2014, Rex Energy Corporation (Rex Energy) announced that on May 19, 2014, the Company started flowing gas into MarkWest Energy Partners, LP Bluestone II processing facility. According to Rex Energy, the expanded facility, once fully commissioned will add an incremental 120 MMcf/d (Million standard cubic feet per day) of processing capacity in the Butler Operated Area, of which 100 MMcf/d of which will be dedicated to the Company. The Company informed that it already has 90 MMcf/d of processing capacity at the Sarsen and Bluestone I processing facilities, and together with the new facility, Rex Energy will have approximately 190 MMcf/d of dedicated processing capacity to support its Butler Operated Area development plans. Rex Energy added that it expects its first ethane sales to be approximately 2,000 bbls/d (Barrels per day) in early June 2014, with an incremental 3,000 bbls/d of ethane sales to begin on or around July 1, 2014. Swift Energy Co. Analyst Notes
On June 2, 2014, Swift Energy Co. (Swift Energy) announced that three new Eagle Ford wells in the Fasken area in Webb County, Texas have been tested by the Company. According to Swift Energy, the Fasken C 17H, 18H, and 19H were all recently completed with an average initial production rate of 21.4 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMcf/d). The Company stated that it has also completed two new Eagle Ford wells, PCQ 17H and 18H, in the northern part of its McMullen County, Texas acreage position. Swift Energy CEO Terry Swift said, "Our recent PCQ and Fasken well results demonstrate the multiple benefits from our technical improvements. We're drilling smart, cost effective wells in a top tier manner." He added, "By early next year, we expect to have our Fasken firm pipeline capacity increase from 75 MMcfpd to 160 MMcfpd. Successful execution of this disciplined plan should place Swift Energy firmly among the top 20 Texas natural gas producers in 2015."
