On July 8, 2014, EMC Corporation (EMC) unveiled the VMAX3 TM Family which redefines VMAX from an enterprise storage to the industry's first open enterprise data service platform. On July 3, 2014, SunEdison, Inc. (SunEdison) announced the completion of its acquisition of a 50% ownership stake in Silver Ridge Power, LLC from a subsidiary of The AES Corporation for c.$178.6 million in cash. The Company stated that after the acquisition, it now owns a 50% interest in 336 MW of solar power plant operating projects, including the 266 MW Mt. Signal solar project in California, and a 40% interest in the Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center West 183 MW solar power facility, which is scheduled for completion in 2016. The Company added that it will provide operations and management and asset management for SRP's entire projects portfolio. SunEdison CEO Ahmad Chatila, commented, "SRP's strong operating projects further enhance our growing renewable energy portfolio. We are looking forward to working with Riverstone, our joint venture partner in SRP, to unlock value from SRP's operating projects and projects in development."
