Schaeffler receives supplier certification from Caterpillar

SCHWEINFURT, Germany, Dec. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Schaeffler today announced that it has been presented with the Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) certification. The SQEP certification is recognized throughout the industry and is awarded to suppliers who consistently deliver top-level service and outstanding operational performance. Specific and stringently-defined targets in areas such as product quality, delivery performance and process optimization have to be met or exceeded to be awarded this certification. With Schaeffler's technological innovations, the company works to set the highest quality standards, while manufacturing in regions around the world where its customers are located.

Caterpillar and Schaeffler have been business allies for many years. FAG and INA-brand products including tapered and cylindrical roller bearings are used in Caterpillar machines such as dozers, mining trucks and excavators.
