Scentsy Partners with Idaho March of Dimes to Invite the Treasure Valley to Rock for Idaho Babies at Annual Scentsy Rock-a-Thon

MERIDIAN, Idaho, Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Scentsy Inc. (www.scentsy.com), a direct selling company and international leader in home and personal fragrance, is hosting its annual Scentsy Rock-a-Thon Sept. 11 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. to raise at least $231,000 for the Idaho March of Dimes.

"The Idaho March of Dimes is the perfect fit for our Scentsy Rock-a-Thon considering the incredible work they do to improve the health of babies and support local families," said Heidi Thompson, President of Scentsy, Inc. Scentsy will line the sidewalk of Eagle Rd. at the intersection of Pine Ave. with 70 rocking chairs from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 and is inviting the community to come rock! Scentsy will donate $275 per chair, per hour for a donation of $211,750. The community is invited to raise an additional $25 per chair, per hour, totaling $231,000 in donations for the Idaho March of Dimes. Scentsy will also be collecting diapers and sleep sacks for Idaho babies. Donations of time spent rocking, monetary donations and diapers or sleep sacks are welcome.

The Rock-a-Thon will kick off with a Velata crepe feed from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the Scentsy Commons where Velata Consultants will be dishing up crepes in exchange for donations. Following the completion of the Rock-a-Thon at 5 p.m., members of the community are invited to come back for a spectacular fireworks show at 8:45 p.m. Parking for the fireworks will begin at 8 p.m. and parking passes will be $10 per carload, with all proceeds to benefit the Idaho March of Dimes.
