Scarinci Hollenbeck Unveils 'The Scarinci Constitution' Blog
Scarinci Hollenbeck's New Blog Provides Access to the U.S. Constitution and an Analysis of Today's Most Pressing Legal Controversies
LYNDHURST, N.J., Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Donald Scarinci, managing partner of Scarinci Hollenbeck, is pleased to announce the inclusion of an interactive United States Constitution on its "Constitutional Law Reporter." The Constitution complements the firm's educational pro bono blog, which provides viewers with full access to the U.S. Constitution, historical trends and landmark court cases.
The new interactive Constitution allows readers and students to explore each section of the Constitution and many of the key phrases that have been the topic of judicial review over the last 200 years. It is written to appeal to a broad audience with varying levels of knowledge. With the approval of Cathy Travis, Constitutional Law Reporter reprints the author's plain language version of the constitution written in a way that everyone can understand.
The blog content - which includes a description of the most groundbreaking legal cases - was designed with a variety of viewers in mind, and the content is presented in such a way that legal professionals, academics, students and legal novices alike can gain a better understanding of the most pressing legal battles of the past and their implications today.
Seton Hall law student Joshua Levy, who spearheaded the annotated Constitution project, said that he designed and structured the website in such a manner that viewers will gain a comprehensive introduction to America's rich legal history without being overwhelmed by the vast wealth of information in the area.
"The U.S. Constitution is the foundation of our legal system and infiltrates nearly every aspect of lives today," Levy said. "This website provides a thorough, yet accessible, way for readers to view, analyze and understand the Constitution, and how it has and will impact our country's past, present and future."
Scarinci praised the contribution that Levy made to the success of the project. He said, "The Constitution serves as the legal fabric upon which our system of law is based. Because of the hard work of people like Joshua Levy, Cathy Travis, C.J. Griffin, Peter Moeller and the support of the partners at Scarinci Hollenbeck, I am very pleased that we can make this resource available to all who are interested."
