SC Johnson's Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Recognized by Human Rights Campaign
Company Ranks on the Corporate Equality Index for the Ninth Straight Year
RACINE, Wis., Dec. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the ninth consecutive year, SC Johnson has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Corporate Equality Index. The HRC Corporate Equality Index rates companies on a scale of 0 to 100 on their fair treatment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors. This year SC Johnson received a score of 90.

The Corporate Equality Index rated a total of 636 companies this year. SC Johnson was evaluated in five main categories: Non-Discriminatory/Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, Spousal and Partner Benefits, Transgender Inclusive Benefits, Organizational LGBT Competency, and Public Engagement.
SC Johnson and Rockwell Automation are the only Wisconsin companies included in the survey to achieve scores of 90 or better. Wisconsin was the first state to ban employee discrimination based on sexual orientation in 1982.
The HRC is the nation's largest advocacy group for gay, bisexual, transgendered and lesbian Americans.
