SC Johnson Ranked 10th Among Top Multinational Companies In Latin America
SC Johnson Operations in Argentina, Central America, Chile, Mexico, and Venezuela Recognized as Best Workplaces
RACINE, Wis., March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SC Johnson has been recognized as a great place to work in Latin America for the eighth time. SC Johnson ranked number 10 among 25 Best Multinational Companies to Work For in Latin America that were honored at an event last night. The company moved up nine spots from last year. This recognition is a result of the individual best company recognitions for SC Johnson operations in Argentina (which includes operations in Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay), Central America (which includes operations in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama), Chile, Mexico and Venezuela.
"My sincere congratulations to all the SC Johnson businesses in Latin America that were honored," says Steven P. Stanbrook, Chief Operating Officer – International Markets for SC Johnson. "To continue to be recognized on this prestigious list reinforces our company's long-held belief that a culture of outstanding performance, integrity and mutual respect is fundamental to business success and highly valued by SC Johnson people in Latin America and around the world."
SC Johnson first began operating in Latin America in 1937 and remains committed to its operations in the region, and to making a difference in the communities in which it does business.
"This recognition is a great honor," said Jose Latugaye, Senior Vice President – Latin America, SC Johnson. "Throughout Latin America, the people of SC Johnson have continued to provide an unwavering commitment to uphold our company's values and I am thrilled that SC Johnson teams across the region feel proud and inspired to do their best work every day."
Companies appearing on the best company list in each country are evaluated against one another by the Great Place to Work® Institute to determine the top workplaces in Latin America. To be eligible for the Latin America multinational list, a company must have operations in at least three countries, must have at least 1,000 employees globally and 40 percent of its global workforce must work outside the home country.
In October 2011, SC Johnson was ranked number 10 among the Top 25 World's Best Multinational Workplaces, an inaugural list from the Great Place to Work® Institute. This recognition further demonstrates the company's long-standing commitment to creating great workplaces for people around the globe.
