ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SBG Technology Solutions is proud to announce the successful completion of a requirements development project for the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), a division of the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA). This important project, which was completed ahead of schedule through SBG's Healthcare Transformation and Benefit Services Division, will provide improved operating efficiencies to programs that positively impact the lives of children, families and communities nationwide.
MCHB's new system will lead to better outcomes for women and their families. The HRSA Home Visiting Program provides families, particularly those considered at-risk, with crucial resources and skills needed to raise children who are physically, socially, and emotionally healthy. It dispenses services that improve family stability, child health and safety as well as school readiness. Through regular home visits, families also learn how to procure better opportunities for themselves and their children.
The new Home Visiting Information System (HVIS) will significantly improve MCHB's ability to gather, analyze and evaluate grant data. It will also enable a more efficient grant review process allowing HRSA to identify and support valuable grant programs. SBG gathered, analyzed, and documented requirements for the new web-based Home Visiting Information System, and provided architectural, data, and cost models to support the development of a more effective system.
