ATLANTA, Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today the opening of another Disaster Loan Outreach Center at the Fond du Lac Tribal Center in Cloquet, Minnesota on Friday, Aug. 24. Individuals and businesses with uninsured losses and damages caused by
the severe storms and flooding that occurred on June 14-21, 2012, should take advantage of SBA's disaster assistance program and apply. Homeowners, renters and businesses in Carlton, Pine and St. Louis counties and Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the adjacent counties of Aitkin, Chisago, Isanti, Itasca, Kanabec, Koochiching and Lake in Minnesota; and Burnett and Douglas in Wisconsin are eligible to apply.
Interest rates are as low as 1.938 percent for homeowners and renters, 3 percent for non-profit organizations and 4 percent for businesses with terms up to 30 years. The SBA sets loan amounts and terms based on each applicant's financial condition.
Applicants may also apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
Anyone unable to visit a Center may obtain information, loan applications and Center locations by calling the SBA's Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by sending an email to [email protected]. Loan applications can also be downloaded from the SBA's website at www.sba.gov. Completed applications should be returned to a Center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is October 15, 2012. The deadline to return economic injury applications is May 16, 2013.
