WASHINGTON, Feb. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today a series of workshops geared to help Native American small business communities with technical assistance and business development. The SBA will participate in the workshops by providing information and access to products and services available.
"We are eager to provide small business resources that champion Native American communities and provide them with the training and tools to start, grow and expand their small businesses," said Shawn Pensoneau, assistant administrator for SBA's Native American Affairs. "Our efforts will continue important efforts in job creation and entrepreneurial growth for Native American small business owners."
The workshops will focus on increased financial literacy and outreach initiatives to enhance the use of the SBA's financing programs, counseling, and business development services. The SBA and other federal agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture stand ready to provide long-term business development and job creation strategies throughout Native American communities.
