SBA to Close Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Michigan

ATLANTA, Dec. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that due to a steady decrease of activity, its Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in Dearborn, Michigan will close on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at close of business. Disaster survivors interested in obtaining low-interest disaster loans are encouraged to visit the Center before it ceases operations.

The Center location and hours of operation are as follows:

Wayne County
Ford Community and Performing Arts Center
15801 Michigan Avenue
Dearborn, MI 48126
Hours: Monday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Closing: Thursday, Dec. 11 at 5 p.m.

To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, survivors may register with FEMA online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by smart phone or tablet at m.fema.gov. Applicants may also call FEMA at 800-621-3362 or TTY users 800-462-7585.

Survivors referred by FEMA to the SBA may apply for disaster loan online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela or visit the nearest recovery center. More information may be obtained by calling the SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to [email protected]. SBA loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov/disaster. Completed applications can be returned to a recovery center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is December 15, 2014. The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 25, 2015.
