ATLANTA, Feb. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today the opening of a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in East Hartford, CT on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The Center will provide one-on-one assistance to homeowners, renters and businesses of all sizes seeking disaster assistance for losses caused by the Gateway Estates fire in the City of East Hartford on Jan. 15.

Opening: Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m.
Hours: Wednesday – Friday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Closing: Friday, Feb. 22 at close of business
"Survivors who receive a SBA disaster loan application should submit it as soon as possible to receive consideration for a loan to help with their recovery," said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA Field Operations Center East. "SBA's Customer Service Representatives are on hand at the center to provide one-on-one assistance in completing their application."
Applicants may also apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
Additional details on the locations of recovery centers and the loan application process can be obtained by calling SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to [email protected]. Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is April 9, 2013. The deadline to return economic injury applications is November 16, 2013.
