ATLANTA, Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today the closing of the Business Recovery Center at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) located on the campus of Stony Brook University. The Center will cease operations Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Noon.

SBA will open a Business Recovery Center in Staten Island, NY to provide assistance to businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy. Businesses with physical damages or loss of revenue should consider visiting the Center and applying for an SBA disaster business loan. SBA's customer service representatives are available at the Center to answer questions about the disaster loan program and assist business owners in completing their applications.
The Center will open as indicated below, until further notice:

Opens: Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 8 a.m.
Hours: Monday – Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Applicants may also apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
Additional details on the locations of recovery centers and the loan application process can be obtained by calling SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to [email protected]. Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov. Completed applications may be returned to a recovery center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is January 28, 2013. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2013.
