Save the Storks Joins the 2019 March For Life in Washington D.C. Featuring Addresses by Vice President Mike Pence, Second Lady Karen Pence and Dr. Alveda King
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Save the Storks, a pro-life organization that partners with pregnancy resource centers to empower women through education on mobile medical units, or Stork Buses, joined forces with hundreds of thousands of pro-life supporters last week in Washington D.C. for the 2019 March for Life on the National Mall. President of the United States Donald Trump, Vice President of the United States Mike Pence and wife, Second Lady Karen Pence, Dr. Alveda King, the niece of the famed civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ben Shapiro and a host of other dignitaries and special guests spoke at the March, which supports a world where the beauty, dignity, and uniqueness of every human life are valued and protected.
"I've been attending March for Life since I was 15 years old, when I joined my mother and her pregnancy resource center volunteers in the largest organized march in Washington, DC," said Joe Baker, founder and CEO of Save the Storks. "This year, we were here with our staff and volunteers handing out thousands of signs and also thousands of warm beanies that read 'Love – Compassion - Action' and Save the Storks scarves, perfect for a bitter-cold day. Despite the snow and freezing temperatures, we joined at least a quarter of a million others who chose to march for life and let women facing an unplanned pregnancy know that there are choices other than abortion. There is a huge community to support these women with practical resources, loving support, medical and social services and counseling, whether they decide to raise their child or choose adoption."
The Save the Storks team from Colorado Springs and volunteers from across the United States marched with Storks Founder and CEO Joe Baker and Storks Director of External Relations and Lifetime Television star Victoria Robinson. Recording artists Matt Hammitt and Joy Villa also participated in March for Life wearing Storks scarves and hats. Save the Storks was featured on national media outlets including FOX & Friends, ABC News, Catholic News, Campus Reform, Voice of America, EWTN and The Christian Post, among others.
