/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Save the Children's emergency response teams are monitoring the situation and are on standby for immediate deployment to meet the needs of children who may be affected by the impact of Typhoon Koppu (known locally as Lando), which is expected to make landfall tonight Eastern Time, which is Sunday morning Philippine time.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. , Oct. 17, 2015 Emergency supplies and relief kits are in place to get to those who are affected, if necessary. These include mobile health units; newborn kits and safe delivery kits; household kits; plastic sheeting; water kits; family hygiene kits; water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) equipment; temporary learning space tents; back-to-school kits and child friendly space kits.
