SAN FRANCISCO, March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. today announced a nationwide job search for two brand ambassadors. The brand, which donates a portion of proceeds from its sales to support Family House, produces a celebrated portfolio of California wines made in collaboration between the Grammy Award-winning band Train and winemaker James Foster. Selected ambassadors will be awarded a salary and hit the road for the adventure of a lifetime, making the journey from San Francisco to New York City in a classic vintage Cadillac DeVille. They will serve as brand storytellers, stopping at events, spreading the word about the brand, sampling its wines to consumers and chronicling their adventures along the way.
Consumers are invited to attend a live casting call event in San Francisco on March 27, where they will need to convey why they would make the best candidate for the Save Me, San Francisco storyteller position. Applications can also be submitted via an online video at www.savemesanfranciscowineco.com/roadtrip. Two winners will be handpicked by Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. and Train to serve as ambassadors for the brand.
Storytellers will be chosen based on how well they embody the brand personality, sharing a passion for wine, music, food, and art. Successful candidates will also have an outgoing and creative personality and the ability to bond with new people. Additional details about the program and the job requirements are available on the Save Me, San Francisco website at www.savemesanfranciscowineco.com/roadtrip.
"Our wines were inspired by a deep love of storytelling and a passion for adventure," said Jimmy Stafford, lead guitarist for Train. "This new adventure allows Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. to expand the way in which our wines connect people to each other by helping us foster relationships and memories with those we meet across the country."
During the 12-week cross-country expedition, the storytellers will travel in style in a classic vintage Cadillac DeVille that has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind road trip vehicle. At stops throughout the course of the trip, consumers will be invited to sample Save Me, San Francisco wines and check out a playlist designed by Train to represent each wine's character. Using a dedicated Twitter hashtag, consumers can help create the day's story by choosing a track to play that reminds them of a great memory from a large selection of songs by Train. The storytellers will also post content to the brand's social media channels, recording special moments and sharing them with followers as a road trip diary.
A road trip schedule will be posted on Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. social channels.
Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. and Train proudly support Family House, a non-profit organization providing temporary housing to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Benioff Children's Hospital, with Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. donating a portion of its proceeds from sales of its wine.
